The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income through fundraising events. The 2.6 Challenge (https://www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk/ )was set up to try and help those charities.
For Adam Sensei’s 2.6 challenge he did the 26 Shotokan Kata as part of his home training and donated to the Trussell Trust (https://www.trusselltrust.org/) who provide foodbanks across the UK and are aiming to stop hunger due to Poverty.
KCSKC then repeated the challenge during that week’s zoom class so we did 26 repetitions of the Heian katas in the kids class and all 26 Shotokan Kata again in the adult class. This time we donated to Great Ormand Street Hospital as a Club and each member training donated their training fee to a charity of their choice!
