The SSKI 23rd UK National Championships were held in the Hemel Hempstead Honbu Dojo with 7 London Dojo competitors taking part and all putting in a strong performance.

Sensei Adam won Gold in the Mens Senior Kata event and also Silver in the Mens Senior Kumite event to demonstrate an excellent all round performance and win Adult Competitor of the Day.  Sensei Teiki Benveniste won Bronze in the Mens Senior Kumite event in his first Seishinkai competition and proved that the London Dojo is a strong force.

In the Men’s 5–Man Team Kumite Challenge Trophy, Sensei Adam, Sensei Teiki, Sensei Kaan Yargici, Sensei Jonathan Chiodini and Caspar Mahoney were close runners up to the Hemel Dojo with a total score of 3-2 to Hemel.  Next time…

In the Ladies Junior Kumite event, Rachael Houlton won Gold and Monika Orban won Silver while in the Ladies Junior Kata event Rachel Houlton won Silver and Monika Orban won Bronze.
