The bi-annual SSKI Dan Grading took place on the 6th of December at the Hemel Hempstead Dojo. There was a very high standard all round and Eve Martinez from London club was awarded her Shodan black belt. Congratulations Sensei Eve!
An SSKI squad headed by Sensei Adam, joined forces with SEKU to send a combined England team to the SKDUN World Championships in Lons Le Saunier, France. This year the London club dominated the adult events at the SSKI Nationals at the Honbu in Hemel Hempstead! Sensei Teiki was selected to represent French Polynesia in the 14th Oceania Karate Championships in Tahiti, where he won the Silver medal in the senior mens -75Kg category. Sensei Adam took a small (elite!) SSKI team of Anthony Holt, Christy Nash, Monika Orban and Rachael Houlton to the WJKA European Championships in Holland, and impressively all competitors returned home with medals!
