Thursday 25th July 2013 saw a an equally sad and happy day for the Club as it marked Rachel’s last lesson at the Club before her move to Japan.
Rachel has been with the Club for the past 4 years, making rapid progress through the Kyu grades before passing her Shodan with style in December 2012. She has also excelled on the competition mat, transitioning seamlessly from junior grade to senior grade competition and picking up big titles along the way in both Kata and Kumite.
Her success has been down to one thing – her sheer hard work. She trains relentlessly and really studies what she does. She also asks questions. LOTS of questions!
Her last session was well attended by Club members and it was nice to see some familiar old faces.
The end of the lesson saw Rach given presents by the Club, including Adam Sensei giving her his oldest Blackbelt.
Good luck Rach, enjoy it and we will be ready and waiting for you when you get back!
