A huge thank you to Matt Powell Sensei for taking last nights classes at KCSKC.
The club loved every minute of it from the high energy Karate Alphabet of the kids class to a adults lesson concentrating on the 4 D’s – Deflect, Distract, Destroy and Depart.
It was brilliant to see the approach of a Senior Karateka whose Karate and teaching abilities I hold in high regard. It was fresh and new for the class but focused on many on the underlying principle and concepts that we focus on in our training.
Even better than the lessons was the chance to catch up with an old mate over mountains of Chinese food and a couple of beers after!
Now the pressure is on me to try and return the favour at Matt & Keith Sensei’s Petersfield dojo on 30th Nov!
